Well if you haven’t been to a Nigerian wedding in England you need to get yourself invited to one!  What an experience!  Ola and Ade afforded me that honour at St. Faiths Church in King’s Lynn followed by a wedding reception at King’s Lynn Town Hall.  Ola prepared with all of her family at Magic Moments, a large house just outside King’s Lynn.  Her brother told me that if they were back in Nigeria they would all congregate around their Granddad’s house (he being the head of the family) and so that the Magic Moments house was in effect their Granddad’s home for the weekend.  Ade arrived at St. Faiths with his Best Man Tien soon followed by all of Ade’s very large extended family.  The Church service was beautiful (if a little longer than usual!) and it was great to see Ola and Ade dance up the aisle after the ceremony.  Little did I know but at a Nigerian wedding their is a lot of dancing that goes on – great for photos!  We all departed for Kings’ Lynn Town Hall where the reception was taking shape.  As each family entered the room they danced through the Hall to their tables followed by the Bride and Groom.  The energy in the room was something to behold, the levels just seem to go up and up and up!  Their is no ‘lull’ at Nigerian wedding!  If you get the chance take a look through a small selection of their wedding images from their day below to see what I mean.  Olamide and Ademola are two of the loveliest people that I have come across in the perfect county of Norfolk and I was honoured to be part of their truly spectacular day.
